Noting that Sam Smith and Swanton have taken a flat, and mentioning that Dowson is "not altogether delighted with the prospect of their -- or rather of Samuel's -- becoming a permanent feature of the metrop[olis]." Mentioning that Dowson dined with [J.P.] Martin, who is "an awful wreck," noting that Dowson and Moore are "visions of radiant health in comparison." Discussing his work on their collaborative novel "Felix Martyr" and on his own "Madame de Viole," and mentioning that he has sent their "The Passion of Dr. Ludovicus" to yet another publisher. Describing a recent trip to the theater.
